The Chester County Economic Development Council approached us for a refresh of the site we had designed for them many years ago. The challenge was to redesign their main site and create a template to implement in redesigning their various Industry Partnerships, all of which have websites vastly different from the parent CCEDC site.

To create visual unity across the web properties, we designed a universal identifier band at the top for all the websites. This band marks them as an “Initiative of the CCEDC”, maintaining a consistent brand scheme on the child-themed sites. The theme we built has a series of custom WordPress editor blocks that can be used in any order to build out new pages. Combined with ever-expanding core WordPress blocks, this allows for maximum flexibility and ease in creating page layouts while maintaining a consistent look and feel for the sites.

The design refresh and custom templates will enable the CCEDC and its family of sites to deliver their messaging more clearly and attractively, reinforcing their Partner First emphasis. It will also help their web admin staff make updates, changes, and even new custom pages more easily while still maintaining the brand’s visual voice.
