SRHA Interpretive Center Nearing Launch

Posted on May 9, 2012 in News & Press

Miller Designworks, the Philadelphia-area communications design firm, is almost ready to take the wraps off their latest and most complex design project in Pottstown. In conjunction with Steel City Displays of Malvern, MDW has designed and produced the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area’s (SRHA) Interpretive and Visitor Center. This center tested all of MDW’s capabilities, from concept and art direction through environmental graphics, interactive multimedia, digital signage, video, audio, even 3D modeling.

Final fabrication, programming and installation is taking place with a target opening for the end of May. Using vibrant large-scale graphics, physical objects and artifacts, video, audio and interactive multimedia, the visitors will be engaged in many ways. Visitor involvement is encouraged, through a “What Will You Change? Challenge”, an ongoing program of area events, and submission of photos and videos for possible inclusion in the multimedia display on the large flat screen. Visitors will also be able to get their National Park passport stamped at the center.
