Miller Designworks, the Philadelphia area web and multimedia design firm, was engaged to design and develop the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area Visitor and Interpretive Center at their headquarters in Pottstown, PA. Almost three years in the making, the project is now entering the final design and initial production phases. Showcasing the theme of the River of Revolutions; interactive and physical displays will highlight the important role the Schuylkill River and surrounding area played in the American, Industrial and Environmental Revolutions.

From the large scale environmental graphics to energy efficient LED lighting and reclaimed wood flooring, the buildout of the center is being produced with green design strategies in mind. The complex project is also utilizing our multimedia, 3D  modeling, digital signage, web programming and video capabilities.  Some of the highlights of the center will be the water wall, the 3D topographic map with virtual tours, and the large multimedia display incorporating user-generated imagery. The center is planned to open in the early summer of 2012.
